Submit Your Blog to Directories
As you know, blogging is very popular, but do you know how many blogs are NEVER found? I obviously do not know the count, but I would guess that it’s as high as 50%. That is a high number when you think about how many people that you might know that HAVE a blog.
Some reasons why blogs are not found are:
- They don’t have enough content on them
- The blog doesn’t have a robots.txt file
- Search engines cannot find the blog when they crawl the web
- Blog is not listed in free directories that are found all over the web
There are just a couple reasons why your blog may not be found by others. If you submit your blog to a free directory (usually requires a linkback), you will see your blog in search engines by the end of the week. Sometimes you can get your blog listed in search engines within the day!

I’ve read that some of these directories aren’t worth the time. How do you tell the good ones from the bad ones?
You can check the PR of the directory. Most of the time that is a good indicator to the “authority” of the directory. I hate to say the paid ones are better, but the free ones can get spammy and devalue the link you have there. Botw.org is probably the best paid directory.
